CONFERENCE CHAIR
Dr. George A. Papadopoulos holds the (tenured) rank of Full Professor in the Department of Computer Science, University of Cyprus. His research interests include Advanced Software Engineering, Ubiquitous Computing, Cloud Computing, Parallel and Distributed Programming Models, Technology Enhanced Learning, Medical Informatics, Assistive Technologies, Context Aware and Recommender Systems, and Internet Technologies. He has published over 150 papers as book chapters or in internationally refereed journals and conferences, he is a current or past member in the Editorial Board of 16 international journals and is serving or has served as a Chair or Steering or Program Committee member in more than 200 international conferences. Professor Papadopoulos is a recipient of an 1995 ERCIM-HCM scholarship award. He has been involved or is currently participating, as coordinator or partner, in about 100 internationally and nationally funded projects (total budget for his participation more than 8 MEURO) and has been invited by the E.U. as an Expert Evaluator or Reviewer more than 50 times. He is the Director of the Software Engineering and Internet Technologies (SEIT) Laboratory (http://www.cs.ucy.ac.cy/seit).

PROGRAM CO-CHAIRS
Marios D. Dikaiakos is Professor of Computer Science at the University of Cyprus. He served as Head of the Computer Science Department (2010-2014) and founding director of the University’s Centre for Entrepreneurship (2015-2021). He is also the founding Head of the Laboratory for Internet Computing (2001-today). Dikaiakos' research focuses on cloud computing systems and big data analysis. Prof. Dikaiakos has over 25 years of experience as principal investigator, principal institutional investigator or participant in research projects funded by European and American agencies. His research work includes over 200 publications in books, journals and international conference proceedings, edited volumes, conference proceedings, and scientific reports, the direction of many research projects at the University of Cyprus, and the release of several open-source software systems. He has also served as program chair, co-chair and program committee member in numerous international scientific conferences. He is a Senior Member of the ACM, was a member of ACM’s Distinguished Speakers Program (2012-2015), a member of the IEEE Computer Society and the Technical Chamber of Greece.
Marios D. Dikaiakos

Dr Rizos Sakellariou is (full) Professor, holding a Chair in Computer Science, a member of the academic staff of the Department of Computer Science of the University of Manchester, where he teaches and leads a Research Laboratory with research interests in the wide area of Software for Parallel, Distributed and Large-Scale Systems. Prior to his current role he was Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, Reader. Throughout the years, Dr Sakellariou has carried out research in collaboration with a large number of people including more than a dozen PhD researchers who completed their PhD under his supervision. He has been particularly active in the community in scientific conference organisation and assessing research. Dr Sakellariou has worked on a range of Computer Science topics including, parallel loop scheduling, parallelizing compilers, performance modeling and prediction, multithreading, load balancing, workload and task scheduling, grid computing, service level agreements, adaptive and autonomic computing, cloud computing, scientific workflows, DAG scheduling, Internet-of-Things, Industry 4.0, social networks, etc.

LOCAL CO-CHAIRS
Chryssis Georgiou is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Cyprus. His research interests span the Theory and Practice of Fault-tolerant Distributed and Parallel Computing with a focus on Algorithms and Complexity. He has published more than 100 articles in journals and peer-reviewed conference proceedings in his area of study and he has co-authored two books on Robust Distributed Cooperative Computing. He has served on several Program Committees of conferences in Distributed and Parallel Computing and on the Steering Committees of DISC and ACM PODC. In 2015 he served as the General Chair of PODC 2015, and in 2017 he served as a Track Program Committee co-Chair of SSS 2017. In 2018 and 2019 was the General co-Chair of the workshop ApPLIED 2018 and 2019, while in 2020 he co-chaired the PC committee of NETYS 2020. As of January 2018, he is on the Editorial Board of Information Processing Letters (subject area: Distributed Computing). This year he is co-organizing CIAC 2021 and ApPLIED 2021. He has organized DISC 2007, co-organized ApPLIED 2018, 2019, and he was involved in the organization of PODC 2001, ISoLA 2004, 2006 and SAGT 2009.
Chryssis Georgiou

George Pallis is an Associate Professor at the Computer Science Department, University of Cyprus. His research interests include Distributed and Internet Computing with particular focus on Big Data Analytics and Cloud/Edge/Fog Computing. He is principal institutional investigator in research projects funded by EC, Research Promotion Foundation in Cyprus, and industry (e.g., Google) and has totally attracted more than 4.5M euro. Dr. Pallis has published over 70 papers in international journals (e.g., IEEE TKDE, IEEE TCC, IEEE TSC, ACM TOIT etc.), magazines (e.g., CACM, IEEE Internet Computing) and conferences (e.g., INFOCOM, IPDPS, ICDCS, IEEE BIG DATA etc) and he is contributor of two Euro-Par 2023 international DIN (German Institute for Standardization) standards. His papers have been cited more than 4850 times with h-index 28. Dr. Pallis has served as PC-Co-chair of CloudCom 2018 and CCGrid 2019. Dr. Pallis has also served in numerous Program and Organization Committees for international conferences (WWW, ICDCS, etc.) and he received the best paper awards in the IEEE Big Data Conference (IEEE BIG DATA 2016) and the International Conference on Service-Oriented Computing (ICSOC 2014) and the best demo award in the ACM/IEEE Symposium on Edge Computing. In 2019, Dr. Pallis served as guest editor for the edge computing special issue on the prestigious Proceedings of the IEEE journal. He is Editor in Chief in the IEEE Internet Computing magazine, Associate Editor in the IEEE Transactions on Cloud Computing and Associate Editor in the Computing Journal (Springer).

Demetris Zeinalipour is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at the University of Cyprus, where he leads the Data Management Systems Laboratory (DMSL). His primary research interests include Data Management in Computer Systems and Networks, particularly Mobile and Sensor Data Management; Big Data Management in Parallel and Distributed Architectures; Spatio-Temporal Data Management; Network and Telco Data Management; Crowd, Web 2.0 and Indoor Data Management; Data Privacy Management. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from University of California - Riverside (2005). He is a Humboldt Fellow, Marie-Curie Fellow, an ACM Distinguished Speaker (2017- 2020), a Senior Member of ACM, a Senior Member of IEEE and a Member of USENIX. He serves on the editorial board of Distributed and Parallel Databases (Elsevier), Big Data Research (Springer), SI Editor for ACM Transactions on Spatial Algorithms and Systems (ACM TSAS), and is an independent evaluator for the European Commission (Marie Skłodowska-Curie and COST actions), the Hong Kong RGC and the Hellenic HFRI.

Dora Blanco Heras is an associate professor in the Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering at the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain). She received a BS in Physics in 1993 and got a PhD cum laude from this university. In the period from 2005 to 2010 she was appointed as the head of the Sustainable Development Office at this university. Her research interests are mainly in the area of high performance and parallel computing including software optimization techniques, performance analysis for irregular codes and, more recently, GPGPU computing. This last area has been addressed with a strong focus on real-time image processing (objective classification, edge detection, visualization…) applied to medical image processing (MRI, CT-scan...) and to images obtained from remote sensing instruments such as hyperspectrometers.

Miquel Pericàs is an Associate Professor of Computer Architecture at Chalmers University of Technology. His research interests cover high performance computing, parallel runtime systems, memory systems and manycore architectures. He has published over 60 papers on these topics in international journals and conferences. Prior to joining Chalmers he worked at the Tokyo Institute of Technology, and before that at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center. He is the main author of the XiTAO runtime system and several open source tools for the analysis of task-based programs. Miquel is currently a Co-PI for Chalmers in the EPI, European Pilot and eProcessor projects, where his work focuses on runtime techniques for efficient resource usage and reduction of energy, mainly in the context of OpenMP. He is a member of the HiPEAC NoE, the IEEE Computer Society and ACM SIGARCH

José Cano is an Associate Professor in the School of Computing Science at the University of Glasgow, where he leads the Intelligent Computing Laboratory (gicLAB). His research interests are in the broad areas of Computer Architecture, Computer Systems, Compilers, Machine Learning and Security. He is currently Principal Investigator on the PETRAS project MAISE and Co-Investigator on the UKRI "Digital Security by Design" projects AppControl and Morello-HAT. He has authored over 40 refereed publications, and has served as a co-organizer, chair, and TPC in numerous conferences and workshops. He has been Guest Editor of the MDPI “Big Data and Cognitive Computing” and “Sustainability” Journals, member of the IEEE TPDS Review Board and ACM TACO Distinguished Reviewers Board, and reviewer of another 19 journals. José received the MS and PhD degrees in Computer Science from Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), Spain, in 2004 and 2012, respectively. He was a postdoctoral researcher at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (Spain) between 2012 and 2013, and at the University of Edinburgh between 2014 and 2018. He is a senior member of IEEE and ACM, and a member of HiPEAC.
